    Climate Change and Southern Caucasus

From 29 May to 2 June, an interesting event for informing and supporting local communities on climate change took place in Georgia and Armenia. The event was part of the "Visegrad Experts at Resilience Forums in the South Caucuses” (oxygen.org.am/index.php/en/what-we-do/ivf-to-the-south-caucasus) project funded by International Visegrad Fund and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Netherlands. Project is implemented by OxYGen Foundation together with its implementing partner organization Bridge Innovation and Development (BRIDGE). Four experts from the V4 countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary) lectured at the event. Information about the Adaptation Strategy of the Czech Republic (www.mzp.cz/cz/zmena_klimatu adaptacni_strategie) and the activities of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (www.chmi.cz/) in this area was presented at two seminars in Batumi (Georgia) and two in Dilijanu (Armenia) by invited expert (Radim Tolasz). Audience was represented by local governments, ministries, crisis management, army and universities.
